*NOTE: Some of the threaded holes may feel gritty, please lube and clean up the holes prior to installation if that is the case. This is the result of the bead blasting. Thank you for understanding!

  2. Hey Hector. Hope this finds you well. =)
I think I want to order this kit from you. I have a 2016 STi with no factory brackets so I've done hours of research and think I have it all figured out. I'm going to use the Subaru/Thule OEM rack (SOA567X050) which I think is going to work. Have you heard of that combo working? The bolts for the Thule mounts look very similar to the ones for the Yakima (must be standard sizes).

I also ordered the OEM rain gutter moldings for the 2018 STi which is confirmed to fit the 2016 and will give me the folding doors. I HOPE these doors fit your moldings but I'm pretty good at making things work. =)

Your order button is working - that mean you have these ready to go?

Looking forward to get'n 'er done!

    1. Hi Chase, got your order. Package is in the mail! as for the OEM rack, it may not fit the curvature of the 2016 if you get one that is a different model year, but since you're drilling you can probably make it work. Measure twice, drill once! The width of the base will also have to be matched to the rack too since they are not adjustable (or so I think). Best of luck!

  3. Yo. I got the brackets in the mail on Friday and my Thule 2018 STi OEM Rack came in yesterday. The bolts from the Thule rack fit your brackets perfectly! =) And the landing pads for the 2018 STi fit the contour/rain gutter tracks of my 2016 STi perfectly as well. I think this is all going to work out great. I'm just waiting for the 2018 OEM rain gutter moldings to come in. I want to make sure I place the brackets exactly where the openings are on the rain gutter moldings.

Question about the bolts that came with your brackets: Don't they need to be secured on the underside with a flange nut or something? I noticed there were no nuts in the package. I'll probably just pick some up at Ace but wanted to check with you first.

    1. The set was intended for the 2002-2007 Sedans, and they reused their nuts that were from the stock bracket. That is why it doesn't have any. I could include them but it would then drive the price up a bit and make me have to stock 2 different configurations, so I just left it be.

  4. Right on. Thanks again for the help. I'll update ya once everything is done. My gutter moldings should be here Friday - so I hope to install things this weekend.
